Enes is currently a Ph.D. student. His research interests are on the complex nature of civil wars with a special focus on rebel strategies. He is also interested in mass migration movements. He has conducted field research across Turkey analyzing the state response to Syrian refugees and the fragile coexistence of refugee and host communities. Prior to joining UWM, he was a research fellow at the Migration Research Center at Koc University (MiReKoc). Enes earned his BA and MA in International Relations from Bilkent University in Turkey.
