Teaching Faculty I / IEP Instructor
English Language Academy

Degrees:  J.D.; M.A. in TESOL and Applied Linguistics December 2022
Len is a Milwaukee native.  In fact, he is a UWM native, born in the Northwest Quad (back when it was Columbia Hospital) to parents who had been homecoming king and queen here.  He started studying languages -- French was first -- when he was 12, and even studied two while he was in law school.  Len spent a year in Bangkok as an exchange student, and took and passed the Thai high school graduation exams.  He spent a year between college and law school in a Chinese language university in Singapore.  Len loves to teach.  He taught legal writing when he was in law school to first year law students, has taught over sixty continuing legal education courses, and has participated for many years in moot court at Marquette Law School.  After coming to UWM a few years ago to study Portuguese, Len realized that teaching ESL was a way to combine his love of language learning, love of teaching, and love of being around and mentoring young people.  Teaching ESL has now become his second career.
