November 20, 2017  |  News & Events, Provost's Updates

Good morning, colleagues. As we head into Thanksgiving, here is this week’s update from Academic Affairs.

Kudos

Trudy Turner, Anthropology, was part of a research group that discovered a possible defense mechanism against the HIV virus in vervet monkeys that could offer clues for developing new treatments for HIV/AIDS and could inform the future evolution of genes involved in HIV. Their findings were published in Nature Genetics. Congratulations, Trudy!

Junhong Chen, Materials Science and Engineering, has been listed among the 2017 most highly cited researchers in the world. Congratulations on this prestigious honor, Junhong!
