translatorplease LLC , and I specialize in translating scholarly and literary texts from German into English.

I came to Translation & Interpreting Studies because:
was looking for a way to use my background in German and European history, and my love for writing and research, in a new career. For family reasons, I also wanted the flexibility to
set my own hours and to work from home.

What career advice do you have for current or potential TIS students?
Don’t be afraid to change direction and “go back to school.” Having past experience in another field can be very helpful as you pursue work as a translator.
