Welcome Back to School! Bienvenidos!

Hello Students! Bienvenidos!

I would like to take the opportunity to welcome back all of you who are returning to the Fall semester, as well as those of you who are new to us this year!

At the Roberto Hernández Center (RHC) were are thrilled and looking forward to an outstanding school year and we know it will be the best one yet! We are ready for the awesome task of working and welcoming all of you to the RHC. Our center’s mission is to provide academic services that promote Latino student success (through Holistic Academic Advising), to engage in outreach to the Latino community (help recruit & inform) and beyond and to support applied research pertinent to Latinos. We work hand in hand with the rest of our UWM campus to provide you all with a well-rounded educational experience.  We also believe that it is critical to provide you with leadership opportunities, character education, and exposure to help you compete with their global counterparts. The Roberto Hernández Center staff takes great pride in providing an inclusive and safe atmosphere in our academic office space (Bolton Hall 183). Come and make use of our quiet study rooms, computers, book and film collection, and a study lounge area. We look forward meeting you and helping you in your educational journey.

This Fall 2017 semester will be filled with numerous opportunities and events for all of you, as well as our Latino community in Milwaukee. We encourage you to attend all of the Hispanic Heritage Month events that we have planned for you (September 15th-October 15th) as well as other academic activities.

You are a valued member of our UWM and RHC family!
