Courses Meeting the L&S Research Requirement
(with GER noted)
The College of Letters and Science requires all BA and BS students to complete a research experience within their major as a graduation requirement. Below is a list of courses that fulfill this research experience requirement, along with notes on which of these courses also satisfy University requirements. Please note that the General Education Requirements (GER) revision, effective Fall 2026, will result in fewer courses meeting both this advanced requirement and a general education requirement. Students should also refer to other L&S requirement pages to find courses that satisfy more than one requirement. (See Courses Approved for L&S Breadth, Courses Approved for L&S International, and Courses Approved for L&S Advanced Natural Science.)
