Honors Summer Leadership Camp

Our goals are to build community, foster a sense of belonging, and help jump-start your college experience as a campus leader by giving you a chance to connect with other new Honors students, as well as current Honors students, faculty, and staff.

This is a free opportunity open to all first and second year members of the Honors College, crafted with BIPOC and first-generation students in mind. Students will receive free housing and meals at Sandburg residence hall. Camp activities will focus on celebrating participants’ strengths and lived experiences, as well as helping them to build friendships and a home in the Honors community at UWM.

Registration information will be available soon.

Honors College Readiness Camp

Our goal is to provide opportunities for young people to visit a college campus and learn more about higher education by highlighting one of the many possible academic disciplines they could choose to pursue. Our camp offers sessions that emphasize college-readiness where UWM faculty, staff, and students will introduce campers to college life and share details about how to be successful in higher education.

This is a free opportunity open to high school juniors and seniors in the Milwaukee area. This camp is a two day experience and lunch and snacks are included. Students are in charge of providing their own transportation to UWM’s campus and back home on both days.

Registration information will be available soon.
