There are advantages to being part of a regional community of Latin Americanists through association with CLACS. Regional faculty associate members are eligible to compete for Center-funded travel grants in support of their research, project or conference presentation in the area of Latin American and Caribbean studies. They may also apply for Center resources that would give partial support for Latin Americanist events organized at their institution, and are added to an email list for receiving information on Center programs, events and activities. The Center can offer support in other ways by connecting faculty from different institutions with similar interests, providing educational and professional workshops, and offering classroom support through our free loan media collection. Regional Faculty associates must be tenured at their home instiution.
