UWM Field Station & Friends of Cedarburg Bog 2018 Picnic
October 7, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Join us for a picnic/potluck at the Field Station! Come early to participate in activities such as hayrides, live music, or guided hikes into the bog, or come later to join in the barbecue and potluck supper. Bring a dish to share if you plan to stay for the supper. This is a family-friendly event and children are welcome.
Schedule of events:
1:00 – 4:30 – Tractor-driven Hayrides (ongoing)
1:30 – 4:30 – Live Folk & Country Music by Matt Harvey and Friends
2:00 – Guided Walk into the Bog or the Upland Woods
2:00 – 3:30 – Wildlife Biologist Randy Hetzel presents Wisconsin snakes and amphibians
3:30 – Guided Walk into the Bog
5:00 – Firing up the Grill and Setting up the Buffet
5:30 – Potluck Supper — Burgers, Brats, Buns, & Beverages provided; Everyone bring a side dish or dessert to
share
This event is free and open to the public. If you plan to attend, please email Gretchen Meyer- gmeyer@uwm.edu to RSVP by October 3rd to let us know how many will be attending and if any are vegetarian.
