2016 Undergraduate Research Symposium

On Friday, April 29th, UWM will celebrate undergraduate student research at UWM with the 8th Annual UWM Undergraduate Research Symposium.  The event begins with Oral Sessions running from Noon-1:20 p.m. in breakout rooms on the second floor of the Union and continues from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the Union Wisconsin Room with a large Poster Session.  At 2 p.m. there will also be a special performance in the Union Cinema.  Over 250 UWM undergraduate students will be presenting at this year’s symposium, representing departments from across the campus.  At 3:30 p.m., there will be an awards ceremony to acknowledge outstanding presentations and also to name the Undergraduate Research Mentor of the Year.

If you have attended the Symposium in the past, you know that it is one of the more pleasant and interesting events on the annual calendar and the entire UWM community should feel welcome to drop by and hear what our students are doing.  Finally, to the over 100 faculty, academic staff, and graduate students who have volunteered to serve as judges at this year’s event, thank you for your service!
