Kristyn Wiencek is the First Year Specialist within the Student Success Center. She works with all levels of undergraduate students on academic skills tutoring in the areas of note taking, study skills, test taking strategies, and time management. Her primary goal is to equip students with the transferrable skills necessary to succeed in whichever academic program they choose to pursue, and to better prepare students for life outside of the classroom.

Prior to UWM, Kristyn worked as a high school English teacher, and holds a B.S. in Middle/Secondary Education and English Language Arts from Marquette University. Outside of work, she enjoys exercising, watching college basketball, and spending time with her friends and family.
