Fall 2017 Withdraw Deadline

Dear Students:

Please read carefully…

This is a reminder that the deadline to withdraw from any regular 15-week class is next Tuesday, October 31st. Due to the PAWS upgrade happening at the end of this week, the deadline was extended. After October 31st, you will not be able to drop any classes. If you are struggling in a class right now and do not think you will earn a passing grade, it is best to withdraw and get a ‘W’ on your transcript than to fail and get an ‘F.’ Dropping a course will not result in any extra fees or costs if you remain enrolled in at least one class.

If you decide to drop all your courses, you should consult with Financial Aid (414-229-4541) and the Bursar Office (414-229-4914) prior as there will be a cost associated with dropping all your courses.

* After this date, drops and withdrawals require the signature of the instructor and the school/college advising office or student services.

** Term withdrawal fee only applies if all classes are dropped and a term withdrawal is processed.

*** You may be required to repay all or a portion of financial aid if you withdraw, are academically canceled, or stop attending all of your classes prior to completing over 60% of the semester. Contact the Department of Financial Aid (finaid@uwm.edu) for more information
