Professor Erb’s research interests include galaxy formation and evolution, the kinematics, chemical evolution and stellar populations of galaxies at high redshift, feedback processes in starburst galaxies, and the evolution of the intergalactic medium at high redshift.
Dawn Erb received her PhD in Astrophysics in 2005 from the California Institute of Technology. She was a CfA Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics from 2005-2008. The following two years Erb was a Spitzer Postdoctoral Fellow at the Univerity of California. Since 2010, she has been at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she holds the rank of Associate Professor and she is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
