Physics examines matter, energy, and their interactions, working with the fundamental “laws” that explain and predict natural and human-made phenomena. Physicists deal with topics as small as sub-atomic particles up to the ever-expanding galaxies. The study of astronomy is part of physics, as astronomers apply the same laws used to study Earth to explore our infinite universe.
