Find Funding

Looking for opportunities to fund your research? Research Development Services can help. As a unit of the Office of Sponsored Programs, Research Development Services can help you strategically identify the funding sources that you need to accomplish your research goals. In particular, the University provides access to numerous online funding resources (see below) for UWM researchers. These resources house a tremendous number of funding opportunities and provide powerful ways to search them.

UWM Research Updates

Each week Research Development Services compiles, summarizes, and distributes federal and non-federal grant opportunities to UWM researchers. Summaries include deadlines, contact information, and links to full solicitations. To receive updates, send an email to or-osp-propdev@uwm.edu.

Limited Submissions

Limited-submission competitions are those which limit the number of applications UWM can put forward in either a preliminary or full proposal state.Limited-submission opportunities are announced via the UWM Research Updates. Interested applicants should submit a letter of intent (LOI) as specified in the respective announcement. If the number of LOIs exceeds the allowable number of submissions, an internal competition will be held. Instructions and the deadlines for the internal competition will be sent to all prospective applicants.
