New Berlin students learn about business and earn UWM credits in a program co-facilitated by the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center.
Five teams of UWM students placed in this year’s New Ventures Business Plan Competition, hosted by the Lubar School of Business. Funded by La Macchia Enterprises, the contest is in its 12th year and is open to students from any discipline on campus. Winnings totaled $20,000.
At long last, digging has begun for the new Lubar Entrepreneurship Center at UWM. Though a formal groundbreaking is scheduled for later, work is now underway on the new building that will house the entrepreneurship center, scheduled to open in 2019.
A water sensor developed by an entrepreneur and the manager UWM’s Water Technology Accelerator is a finalist in a NASA competition that seeks to spur creation of new technology. The sensors could have application in space as well as on Earth.
