U1.0 + Black History Month

The Inclusive Excellence Center (IEC) and the Black Student Cultural Center (BSCC) are celebrating Black History Month with a film screening and discussion of Stay Woke: The Black Lives Matter Movement. The original documentary film chronicles the evolution of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement through the first-person accounts of local activists, protestors, scholars, journalists and others. Stay woke and learn more about how BLM came to be.

Immigration Policy Update Webinar

The Inclusive Excellence Center welcomes Attorney Kevin Layde for a webinar on changes to U.S. immigration policies, updates on DACA and more! Attorney Kevin Layde has been practicing immigration law since 2013. He enjoys helping clients of diverse backgrounds to find solutions to immigration issues. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School with Honors, and he is bilingual in English-Spanish.

Conspiracy and Chill

Do you geek out about a good conspiracy theory? If so, celebrate Geek Week with the Inclusive Excellence Center and the Union Cinema by joining us for film screenings and discussions of Netflix’s Conspiracies. We will feature three different episodes that tackle well-known conspiracy theories. Following each episode, we will host a short discussion in which participants can dive deeper and share their thoughts with fellow conspiracy theorists! Come to one or come to all—students may choose to attend any of the film screenings. Participation is first come first served and is limited to XX for each screening.
