Housing Contracts
August 7, 2026: All students with completed contracts have been assigned. Please check your email and view your assignment via My Housing Information! Spring 2027 Contracts will start to be released in early November.

May 1, 2026: University Housing is no longer accepting Residence Hall Contracts for the 2026-27 academic year. Students without a submitted contract or exemption have been automatically exempted from the UWM Residency Requirement and may explore other housing options through the Off-Campus Resource Center.

University Housing remains full for Fall 2026, and we have not yet begun offering contracts to students on the residence hall waitlist. If you are still interested in living on campus, please join the waitlist through the Housing Portal. Contracts will be offered if spaces become available.

Laundry

*Please DO NOT use scent beads in machines. They impair machine operation, causing the need for maintenance and machine down time.

Locations

University Housing provides various laundry facilities for residents to use. Laundry rooms are located on the first floor near the fitness room in Cambridge Commons, on the second floor (and within upgraded apartments) in Kenilworth Square Apartments, in the south wing of the second floor in RiverView, two floors below the first (G2) in Sandburg North Tower, and one floor below the first (UL) in Sandburg East Tower. Each facility is equipped with high-efficiency (HE) washing machines, electric dryers, and folding tables.

Machine Operation & Service

All machines are coinless/cardless to use. HE washers can take liquid, powder, pod, and sheet detergent. However, please refrain from using scent beads. If using detergent pods, place the pod inside the drum and NOT in the detergent drawer.

One Tap Away app icon

The One Tap Away app allows you to see what washers and dryers are currently available. Create an account and enable Bluetooth on your device to see our community machines. Set up notifications on your device in order to be notified of your completed loads. You can also add time to a cycle from the app.

Wash Connect Logo

CSC is the provider of our laundry machines. They installed all Housing machines and are in charge of machine maintenance when needed. For general questions and information on how to use the machines, please visit wash.com/request-help. You can also call WASH at (866) 754-3404.
