Guest Housing

Residential Guest Services offers fully furnished, two-bedroom apartments with hotel-like service for both long- or short-term guest or group stays. Rooms include a TV, one full-sized bed per bedroom, bedroom and bathroom linens and personal use toiletries. The kitchen includes full-sized appliances, a kitchen island with stools, and pots and pans that can be provided upon request.

Guests of Kenilworth Guest Housing must meet one of the following requirements:

Relationship with, or guest of, a campus department or organization
UWM student over the age of 18
Family member(s) of a currently enrolled UWM student
UWM Alumni
Current UWM faculty or staff member

* Children under the age of 17 can stay in Guest Housing for no more than two (2) total nights in a seven (7) day period.

** Pets are not allowed.

Groups larger than eight (8) guests will need to contact Residential Guest Services directly to inquire about accommodations. Email stay@uwm.edu or call us at (414) 229-0512.

All reservations are considered tentative until email confirmation has been received from Residential Guest Services. Once your request is process, we will contact you to arrange payment. A deposit of one night’s stay is required to hold your reservation.

Check-in is at 3 pm on the day of arrival. All guests must vacate by 11 am on the day of the departure.

Kenilworth Square Apartments

Each suite is composed of two separate bedrooms, each with a capacity of two people, along with a kitchen/seating area and a bathroom. Each bedroom offers a large closet area just off the entrance, as well as a full-size bed, dresser, two bedside tables, a desk and a TV. Linens (bed and bath) and personal toiletries are also provided. Kitchens are equipped with normal appliances (stove, oven, full-size refrigerator, microwave) along with a kitchen island/counter and stools. Cookware and utensils are available upon request. The complex is fully air conditioned and non-smoking.

Amenities

Internet Access

All rooms are equipped with high speed internet access at no additional fee. Standard connection cables will be needed or can be purchased at the Service Desk. A Guest WiFi account can also be created using instructions provided in suites.

Cable Television

Each bedroom has a television with cable service. The Time Warner standard cable package is provided at no additional fee.

Service Desk

Our 24-hour Service and Security desk operations provide a safe and secure environment for all guests. The 24-hour locked lobby is accessible by swiping an ID (issued at check-in).

Staff can also assist with additional linens, ethernet cables, and drink and snack purchases from the lobby lounge area.

Fitness Center

Get a workout any time of day in the fitness center located on the second floor across from the elevators. Elliptical machines, treadmills and free-weights available.

Laundry

The laundry center is located on the second floor. The center is open 24 hours a day. All washers and dryers are operated using a PantherCash account (cards available at Service Desk). Cash can be deposited to the card/account at a station located in the laundry center.

Cleaning Service

Suites are thoroughly cleaned prior to check-in. Weekly complementary light housekeeping can be requested for stays longer than 7 days.

Shuttle Service to Campus

Use your Guest Card (presented to shuttle driver) to travel the Prowl Line to the main UWM Kenwood Campus, RiverView Residence Hall or Cambridge Commons and back again without the hassles of traffic and parking.

Mailbox Availability

A private mailbox can be provided to our long-term guests.

Parking and Transportation

Parking permits are available in the Kenilworth Square Garage (all require an additional fee) and are secured by an electronic permit system. Additional transport options are:

On Campus: All guests have access to the UWM Shuttle system. Show your Guest Card to the driver to be allowed on. Find real-time route information with the PassioGo app.

Around the City: Milwaukee County Transit routes to look for are Green Line, 30, 21, and 15.

To/From Airport: Go Airport Connection, Riteway, and Taxi

Guest Housing is governed by University Housing rules and regulations. Please review the Resident Handbook to ensure compliancy.

Residents and guests must comply with these policies as well as with those of the University, UWS 18 Conduct on University Lands, and with the laws of the State of Wisconsin and the U.S.; which have been incorporated into these policies where applicable. Changes and revisions to these policies may be made by the Chancellor and are effective upon publication.
