Events & Initiatives

The Off-Campus Resource Center offers a variety of programs and events throughout the year to support students living off campus. These initiatives are designed to keep students informed, connected, and engaged with the broader campus community while addressing topics relevant to off-campus living.

Designed to help students give away and claim free items safely, all while promoting campus sustainability. It functions much like Freecycle or Buy Nothing communities but is exclusive to UWM students.

A Neighborhood clean-up is a program facilitated by the Off-Campus Resource Center to encourage UWM Students to clean-up the community surrounding UWM by picking up garbage around the neighborhood.

Saturday, November 8th: 9am – 1pm
Friday, November 21st: 10am-12pm

A free in-person event designed to promote sustainability and reduce illegal dumping and abandonment, which can lead to costly fines. Students can bring items to properly dispose of or leave for others to take.
