The Wisconsin Nonprofit Summit 2024 Request for Proposal submission period is open from January 22, 2024, through March 22, 2024. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by April 30, 2024.

Breakout Sessions

Breakout sessions are smaller, more interactive segments of a dynamic conference. They typically focus on specific topics or issues and are designed to encourage in-depth discussion and active participation. These sessions allow attendees to choose topics most relevant to their interests or needs, facilitating more personalized and engaging learning experiences. Breakout sessions often involve smaller groups than the main conference sessions, promoting a more intimate and interactive environment.

Breakout sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes.

Panel Discussions:

A panel discussion is a structured conversation on a specific topic that involves a group of experts (the panel) and is moderated by a facilitator or moderator. These discussions provide diverse perspectives; each panelist brings unique experiences and insights. The moderator guides the conversation, poses questions, and may also facilitate audience questions. Panel discussions are popular for their dynamic nature and opportunity for audience engagement and learning from experts’ viewpoints.

Panel discussions are scheduled for 60 minutes.


Workshops are interactive sessions focusing on teaching or exploring a specific skill, technique, or concept. They are typically hands-on and involve active participation from attendees. Workshops are led by an expert or facilitator who guides participants through practical exercises, discussions, and activities. The goal of a workshop is often skill development or deep exploration of a particular topic, emphasizing learning by doing and active involvement from participants.

Workshops are scheduled for one hour and 45 minutes.
