Lake Sturgeon Bowl 2024
February 9 - February 10
The School of Freshwater Sciences will host the 23rd Lake Sturgeon Bowl on Friday, Feb 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, at our Great Lakes Research Facility.
The annual Lake Sturgeon Bowl is a regional competition of the National Ocean Sciences Bowl. This double elimination academic tournament is geared toward motivated, hardworking high school students (grades 9-12) who seek a challenge in science and mathematics. Each team of five students will be tested on their understanding of the oceans and Great Lakes.
The SFS Open House will be on Friday from 5-9pm and the competition will be on Saturday at SFS from 7am-6pm. Volunteers are still needed.
