R/V Neeskay Scheduling Information

While the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the School of Freshwater Sciences has the following policies in place in an effort to minimize transmission:

Mask use is recommended, especially when working in the lab spaces. All participants should conduct a self evaluation of health prior to departure. Guidelines are available upon request or are available at the CDC Symptoms of COVID-19 page.

If COVID-19 like symptoms are present, a COVID-19 rapid test is recommended. Participants with a positive rapid test may not be allowed to be on board.

Neeskay Rates

Rates listed are for researchers at UWM and from other institutions that are conducting
research in conjunction with UWM‐SFS. Rates are for fiscal year July 1‐June 30. Rates are expected to remain as listed for the remainder of the calendar year.

** i.) Research cruises are scheduled for a minimum of 2 hours.
ii.) The hourly rate begins when the cruise leaves the dock or at the requested departure time, whichever is earlier
iii.) Additional time may be added to the cruise if significant time/effort is required of the crew to load or unload scientific equipment and samples.

*** Foreign port fee may be charged for every night the Neeskay docks in a foreign port during the research cruise.
