EQI is at it’s core a research institute. We achieve our goal of strengthening and celebrating American Indian education through various grants, publications and via supporting student research. Indigenous Land Management Summer Internship Program: EQI has partnered with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District Greenseams® program to develop Indigenous Land Management Plans for selected sites within the Milwaukee River Basin.
Graduate Research Proposals: This fund supports innovative and impactful research across disciplines. We have a limited amount of funds to be used towards graduate research. Masters students and Ph.D. candidates currently enrolled at UW-Milwaukee are encouraged to apply.
