Whether you are a prospective undergraduate or graduate student, if you’re interested in studying weather or climate, we invite you to our Open House events on Thursday, October 28, 2021 (graduate students) and Friday, October 29, 2021 (undergraduate students)!
At our Thursday graduate-specific Open House, prospective graduate students will get to learn more about prospective student research opportunities, talk with faculty and graduate students, and get answers to questions about our application and admissions process. As an added bonus, any prospective graduate student who attends the Open House and starts their application after the event will receive an application fee waiver – a $75 value! This free virtual-only event runs from 6-8p. For more information and to register, please visit the UWM Graduate School Virtual Open House home page.
At our Friday undergraduate-specific Open House, prospective undergraduate students will get to learn about our academic programs from our internationally renowned faculty, hear about undergraduate research opportunities and our Innovative Weather program, and leave with information about the admissions process! We invite you to join us and learn how UWM’s Atmospheric Science program prepares students for employment in all traditional areas of the field as well as related areas such as risk assessment, big data, communications, and emergency management. This free event offers both virtual and in-person options, the latter of which will be held at the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences, and runs from 4-5:30p. For more information and to register, please visit the Atmospheric Science Open House event page.
