Oboe & Bassoon Studios

The oboe and bassoon studios explore and progress in every aspect of double reed study, including technical mastery of the instrument, fundamental musicianship, repertoire, and reed making.

Guest Artists

The oboe and bassoon studios have welcomed and had the privilege of working with nationally esteemed bassoonists Barrick Stees of the Cleveland Orchestra, Ted Soluri of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Catherine Chen of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and Beth Giacobassi of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Entrance Auditions/Interviews & Admission

Peck School of the Arts undergraduate and graduate programs may require additional steps to enter. For most dance, music and theatre programs, applicants must first be accepted to UWM, apply to Peck School of the Arts and complete entrance requirements such as an audition and/or interview.
