Music at UW-Milwaukee offers comprehensive undergraduate and graduate education within a multifaceted environment of academic disciplines. Our renowned artist faculty and alumni have active professional careers with the Milwaukee & Chicago Symphony Orchestras, Florentine Opera, Present Music, and more. Students perform as soloists, chamber musicians, and with professional Milwaukee-area ensembles while earning their degree! The Department of Music is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), and has been a member of NASM since 1964.
UWM music ensembles are open to all University students, regardless of major. Ensembles are structured to offer a wide variety of opportunities for performers of various abilities. Whatever your level of skill and interest, we have an ensemble for you!
