About the University Centers. UWM’s University Centers are designed as flexible, community-oriented hubs that support transfer students, returning adult learners, and local professionals by aligning UWM programs with regional workforce needs. Our first center launched at Waukesha County Technical College in Spring 2025, offering tailored bachelor’s completion pathways in Social Work and Information Science & Technology. Plans are underway for additional centers at Milwaukee Area Technical College and Moraine Park Technical College, with the goal of creating clear, compassionate, and community-rooted support for students pursuing degree completion.
