This award will provide up to $5000 in student hourly support at $12/hour for the 2017-18 academic year for up to eight seniors to work as research assistants with UWM faculty research mentors.  Applicants must be planning to graduate in either May, August or December of 2018, have the commitment of a UWM faculty research mentor to work together, and have exhibited an exceptional commitment to undergraduate research during their time at UWM.

Expectations of receiving this award:

• Represent the Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) at campus and local events;
• Meet monthly with OUR Deputy Director Kyla Esguerra to discuss research progress and professional development opportunities;
• Give a final oral presentation on the outcomes of the research project at the Senior Excellence in Research Colloquium;
