The Office of Research is closely monitoring the government shutdown in Washington, DC. Due to the fact that there are few federal workers available to answer questions regarding sponsored programs, there is limited available information from some federal agencies. Impacts to application submission, award processing, no-cost extensions, and other tasks that require federal sponsor interaction are being assessed by the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). We will help campus navigate the various interim procedures sponsors are expected to implement as the budget crisis progresses. The information below is current as of January 8, 2019.
Please ensure that any shutdown-related correspondence from the sponsor (e.g., stop work order), is forwarded to the Principal Investigator and the Office of Sponsored Programs.
