Proposals sought for Tommy G. Thompson research grants

Faculty members and researchers from UWM and other UW System campuses are eligible for grants on prison-to-work initiatives and the future of transportation in Wisconsin. Grants range from $5,000 to $500,000 and are awarded by the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership. All proposals must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, to be considered.

The Thompson Center seeks to promote effective leadership and well-researched, bipartisan approaches to public policy. Awardees will promote their findings statewide in accordance with the Wisconsin Idea and in a manner that is easily accessible to the public.

Applications from research teams are allowed. Faculty and researchers from any discipline are welcome to propose projects.

Proposals should be four pages long and include a cover letter, summary, discussion of a policy or leadership problem with a proposed solution, budget and data management plan.
