The UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena hardly needed illumination on Sunday. The wattage from a few thousand smiles lit up the place just as well.
More than 2,100 UWM graduates received their degrees, cheered on by thousands of family and friends. That tally of degrees included 1,377 bachelor’s degrees, 591 master’s degrees, 120 doctoral degrees and 64 associate degrees.
UWM celebrates the Class of 2019
UWM graduate Lei Zhang Schlitz, vice president at Illinois Tool Works, served as the commencement speaker.
