Apply for Fieldwork in Archives & Manuscripts

759 Archives Fieldwork Application

  • Students must upload a resume with this submitted application form.

    Note: The completion of this form does not guarantee a fieldwork placement. Every effort will be made to place you at an acceptable location, but we cannot guarantee all fieldwork requests will be fulfilled because of the location, repositories in the area, available archives staff, and archival resources.

    Deadlines for fieldwork submission are as follows:
    December 15 – Spring Semester
    March 31st – Summer Semester
    June 15 – Fall Semester
  • Your 9-digit UWM Student ID Number is issued after you have been admitted to UWM. You must first be admitted to UWM as a graduate student before completing this form.
  • Accepted file types: pdf, jpg, doc, docx, Max. file size: 5 MB.
  • Note: students must complete 650 with a “B” or better before doing Archives fieldwork.
  • (ex: Fall 2020)
  • (ex: INFOST 655: Information and Records Management)
  • (ex: Fall 2020)
  • (For example: corporate archives, electronic records, processing, reference, etc.)
  • Repository Site Information

  • Please list 3 potential repositories where you would like to do fieldwork.
