IDEAS Grant

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has been awarded an IDEAS grant through the State Department to diversify study abroad at UWM. A new course, Black Lives Matter: A Global Comparative Study, will be offered in the spring of 2022 and team taught by Global Fellows faculty. The course will focus on BLM and racial justice worldwide, culminating in a study abroad experience overseas. The Global and International Studies programs aim to create a new Global Fellows cohort that amplifies African American global scholarship.
