Global Studies Research Fellow Program now accepting applications

The Global Studies Research Fellows (GSRF) Program is now accepting applications for a 2023 Global Studies Research Fellow.

Faculty and instructional academic staff of all ranks from across the university whose research is global in nature are invited to submit a 3-5 page proposal describing their research plans on topics related to globalization, including its cultural, political, social, economic, and environmental dimensions.

This Fellowship will allow the successful candidate to receive one Academic Year course buyout between Spring 2023 and Spring 2024 and will require the following:

  • The fellow will deliver a public presentation at the end of their fellowship;
  • teach a Global Studies course within the two academic years following their fellowship;
  • and acknowledge the funding support in articles and books that result from the research.

Follow this link to learn more about the GSRF program and to submit your application. Proposals are due Friday, December 23, 2022.

For questions about the Fellowship Program or research proposal, please contact Caroline Seymour-Jorn at csjorn@uwm.edu.

This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Title VI National Resource Center grant and will continue for the entire 2022-2026 cycle.
