Conference Presentations

Kudos to French Professor Sarah Davies Cordova who recently presented “Raising Specters:Cargo‘s Socio-Historical Memory” and moderated a panel: “On Olivier Dubois’ Tragédie” at the Joint Conference of the Society of Dance History Scholars (SDHS) and the Congress on Research in Dance (CORD) entitled “Cut and Paste: Dance Advocacy in the Age of Austerity” in Athens, Greece ( June 4-7, 2015).

Additionally, Prof. Davies Cordova co-presented with Dr. Kathrina Ferrugia-Kriel  “Danseuses at life: Trans-graphing (Ballet’s) Traditions and the Breaks of Genres in South African Dance” on a panel entitled “Counterpoint(e) and Resurgence: Discourses in Recent South African Ballet Practices” in Cape Town, South Africa, at the University of Cape Town (UCT)  at the bi-annual conference Confluences 8 – Negotiating Contemporary Dance in Africa  (July 16-18, 2015).
