Congratulations to MALLT alum, Dr. Manfa Sanogo (French, 2014) who moves to Kalamazoo, Michigan to take up a position of Assistant Professor in the Department of French and Francophone Studies at Kalamazoo College. Dr. Manfa Sanogo successfully defended his dissertation entitled “From Hainteny to Negritude: Analysis of the Transnational Flow of Literary Currents between ‘Indocean’ and Francophone Literatures” at Florida State University, Tallahassee.

Congratulations to MALLT alum, Bastien Craipain (French, 2012), whose translation of  Surmounting the Barricades: Women in the Paris Commune (Indiana University Press, 2004) by Carolyn Eichner (UWM, History and Women’s and Gender Studies) was just published as Franchir les barricades: les femmes dans la Commune de Paris by Editions de la Sorbonne ( Paris, Feb. 2020)
