UWM Atmospheric Science graduate student Lillie Farrell received an Outstanding Student Presentation award at the American Meteorological Society 6th Conference on Weather Warnings and Communication. Her presentation, “The Communication of Weather Safety Through Song,” evaluated whether text-based graphics or music videos led to better retention of weather hazard-related information. Plus, she successfully defended her thesis!
