Marcia Silva, associate scientist and facility manager of UWM’s Water Technology Accelerator, received three awards for work at the accelerator at the recent UWM Research Foundation Awards.
The recognition included one patent award and two license agreements.
Silva’s lab also just received a Fund for Lake Michigan Award titled: “Enhanced Treatment Technologies for Removal of P from Agricultural Runoff Treatment Systems (ARTS).” Silva is the Principal Investigator on the project.
This project is in collaboration with UW-Green Bay, UW-Platteville, USGS, Outagamie County and K&A.
