2021 AMS Father James B. Macelwane Award

Anna Kaminski (B.S., 2021) has been awarded the American Meteorological Society’s Father James B. Macelwane Annual Award in Meteorology for her undergraduate research with Prof. Evans! The award carries a $1,000 stipend and partial travel support to the next American Meteorological Society annual meeting. The Macelwane award is intended “to stimulate interest in meteorology among college students through the submission of original student papers concerned with some phase of the atmospheric sciences.” It is the most prestigious student research award offered by the American Meteorological Society, and one of the most prestigious such awards in all of the atmospheric and related sciences. Anna is UWM’s second consecutive recipient of the award. Congratulations, Anna!
