The nonprofit sector continues to thrive, and the Community-Based Organizations: Policy and Leadership certificate program provides the knowledge and skills you need to succeed as a leader in community-based organizations. With an emphasis on issues related to diverse, urban communities, this program spans everything from policy analysis to fundraising to managing volunteers.
To obtain the Community-Based Organizations: Policy and Leadership certificate, you must complete 15 credits, while fulfilling the requirements of the baccalaureate degree. The certificate is open to all undergraduates, as well as students who have previously earned a bachelor’s degree from UWM or any accredited college or university.
You may complete this program completely online (excluding general education requirement courses), though some courses may be offered in the face-to-face format as well.
