What
Title IX prohibits sex discrimination including sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic/dating violence, stalking, and sexual exploitation. EVERYONE at UWM has the right to be free from sexual misconduct.
Who
ALL UWM EMPLOYEES must share all reports of sexual assault that are reported to them with the Title IX Coordinator, irrespective of where and when they occured. Sexual assult includes unwanted touching of intimate parts. Unless you are a Responsible Employee, this report does not need to include any identifying information.
Responsible Employees must share all reports of sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual assult, domestic/dating violence, stalking or sexual exploitation with the Title IX Coordinator and may not promise or maintain confidentiality. Responsible Employees are a formal designation in UWM’s Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Policy (SAAP 5-2). Where
Mandatory sexual assault reports and Responsible Employee reports should be made to the Title IX Coordinator.

- Deans (including Associate and Assistant Deans)
- Department Chairs
- Directors and all Limited Appointees*
- Supervisors
- Human Resources Representatives
- Athletic Department Coaches and Administrative Staff*
- Police Department Staff, including dispatchers and security and civilian staff
- Housing Directors, Residence Life Coordinators, Area Coordinators, Resident Assistants, Security, and Desk Staff
- Dean of Students Office
- Hearing Officers, Hearing Panel Members and Diciplinary Decision Makers
- Appeals Officers
