“As a TA in the Communication Dept. at UWM I found opportunity to learn my teaching strengths and weaknesses in preparation for my current role as an assistant professor without requiring any additional orientation or training. In addition, the rich research focus of my adviser (Dr. Mike Allen) prepared me to develop original research for future conference proceedings and publications to better contribute to the field of Communication overall. Consequently, the experience gained from both teaching and research currently allows me to enjoy a career path that I would not have otherwise been ready to encounter.”
