Elevate your academic journey, enhance your resume, and immerse yourself in the world’s 4th largest economy (GDP $4.3 trillion). Join us for an unforgettable study abroad to Japan, where cutting-edge business innovation meets centuries-old tradition. Designed for ambitious students eager to gain a global edge, we travel behind the scenes of Japan’s leading institutions, historic landmarks, and vibrant cultural hubs across Tokyo, Osaka, and (tentatively) Kyoto.
Our travels begin in the heart of Tokyo, where neon-lit modern neighborhoods sit alongside serene historical sites. Our visits include districts like Harajuku, the bustling Shibuya Crossing, the peaceful Meiji Jingu Shrine, and the historic Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa, and the cultural collections at the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno Park.
We will also immerse ourselves in Japan’s academic and corporate landscape. We will connect with leading faculty and scholars at prestigious institutions and gain industry insights through executive meetings and site visits at companies/organizations located in and around Tokyo.
“Bullet Train” to Osaka’s Cultural Capital
We next take the Shinkansen (known in the US as the “Bullet Train”) to Osaka, the culinary and commercial heart of Japan. Osaka Company visits add to our understanding of Japanese commercial strengths. We will walk through the lush grounds of Osaka Castle to reflect on the country’s feudal past, sample famous street food at Kuromon Ichiba Market, and enjoy sweeping views of the cityscape from the Floating Garden Observatory at the Umeda Sky Building.
Kyoto (tentative)
We also step back in time in historic Kyoto by participating in an authentic Kimono Wearing and Tea Ceremony, walking through the stunning wooden terraces of Kiyomizu-dera (a UNESCO World Heritage site overlooking Kyoto), and hike beneath the vibrant red torii gates winding up the slopes of Fushimi Inari Taisha.
This program is an investment in your personal development and global career path.
