Film, Video, Animation and New Genres at UW-Milwaukee has been recognized as one of Variety’s “Best Film Schools” because of the program’s deep commitment to transforming students into expressive filmmakers with a mastery of creative, conceptual and technical skills. With dual focus on both the theoretical and practical worlds of filmmaking, our program provides students with the flexibility to explore all aspects of the industry. Our faculty are professionals and filmmakers who actively screen at festivals and exhibition spaces from the Sundance Film Festival to the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
