Changes to UWM-owned landline dialing have been made as of March 9, 2021.

Historically, users have needed to dial 8 plus the area code and 7-digit phone/fax number when calling/faxing locally, and 9 plus the area code and 7-digit phone/fax number when calling/faxing long distance. Now, recent changes have made it so that users only need to dial 9 when calling/faxing both locally and long distance. These changes do not affect Teams calling, university-owned cell phones or Blue Light phones.
