Data Warehouse Authorization

Student information is stored in PeopleSoft, locally known as PAWS, at UWM. Much of that data is subsequently selected and stored for reporting access in UWM’s Student Data Warehouse, sometimes called the Reporting Data Store (RDS).  Most of the data is refreshed on a nightly basis-excluding weekends and holidays.  The refresh schedule can be found here.

An Authorization Application (Auth App) must be completed in order to access the Student Data Warehouse via reporting tools such as OBIEE, Power BI, Microsoft Access, and Hyperion Interactive Reporting.

To get authorization to the Student Data Warehouse you must complete the following:

  1. FERPA quiz
  2. Authorization Application

Once the above has been completed, you will receive an email about your authorization status.  If approved, you can use reporting tools to access the Student Data Warehouse.

Additional Data Warehouses
These require separate authorization.
