Dr. Gwon’s long-term goal of research is to promote health among young adults with special health needs. He is particularly interested in cognitive and psychosocial approaches to improve abstinence-related outcomes among this population who is addicted to nicotine. He also studies public health nurse workforce factors in relation to improvements of health outcomes among populations with special health needs.
