Win $7,000 in marketing support for your program

Undergraduate majors and graduate programs have the opportunity to win more than $7,000 in marketing support in the next round of the Market Your Major (Or Graduate Program) contest.

Department chairs, faculty members and others are invited to a Tuesday, April 5 workshop on developing a value proposition led by the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center. They then have until Friday, April 8 to submit a value proposition for the contest. Four winners — two undergraduate majors and two graduate programs — will be chosen by a committee with representation from the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, University Relations & Communications, Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Graduate School.

Winners will receive a paid search advertising campaign worth more than $7,200 during the 2022-23 academic year. That includes a $5,000 ad buy and more than $2,000 in in-kind work to produce the creative assets and manage the campaign.

It is strongly recommended that two people from each program attend the workshop so that they can collaborate on the value proposition. Ideal pairs would be a department chair and another faculty member from the same program; a department chair and an advisor for the program; or a department chair and a recruiter for the program.
