Wild UWM: The Monarch Conservancy

Wild UWM: Downer Woods
Around the turn of the 20th century, the land was owned and farmed by Guido Pfister, who eventually donated it to Downer College, on the site that became UWM in 1964.
Wild UWM: The Cedarburg Bog
Just 30 miles north of campus, the Cedarburg Bog spans 2,200 acres and is owned primarily by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and UWM.
Turning learning into a communal experience
The Daniel M. Soref Learning Commons, opened in 2009, transformed 32,500 square feet on the west side of the Golda Meir Library into an open, communal learning space.
